I led the project to design and conduct the background work needed to develop the structure, framework and process for building out a centralized, evidence-based hub for resources, and links to resources that support program and policy development in the area of healthy eating and nutrition.
The year-long process included an environmental scan, stakeholder survey, key informant interviews and the development of a steering committee to help guide our decisions and work collaboratively with others.
A one-stop shop to find programs and policies that support healthy eating can go a long way to improve the efficient use of resources, effectiveness of interventions and really just elevate everyone’s game who’s work touches healthy eating
It’s an ambitious project but we were satisfied that we came up with a thoughtful and well-informed step-wise plan to build out the repository within the staffing resources available.
The Nutrition Resource Centre team is rolling out the Nutrition Navigator plan and it’s really taking shape! It was an honour to work with such a talented and dedicated group of nutrition professionals on such a worthwhile project.
